Going to a festival arouses curiosity. The curiosity works as the cause for action or thoughts. But what triggers that curiosity and what if the curiosity designs a moment to remember? A souvenir for the brain, a meeting, a conversation or debate. We design the triggers, but you have to design the moment yourself. The project by Lara Elena Gessner and Jochem Ruarus questions the relationship between the physical and the nostalgia aspect within the archetype of a souvenir.
Film And Artistic Research Practice
PEBMAC is the acronym for Problem Exists Between Monitor And Chair. Our praxis investigates the power of visual culture, unravels the hidden life of film and aims for a mythopoeic and string-figural approach, beyond the entrenched methodologies. Pebmac embodies a new critical view on how we make and why we make, creating and structuring a new global (social)design and research membrane throughout various interdisciplinair design projects.
PEBMAC divides their time working between Amsterdam and Berlin.
